Student Placements
Over the years Seymour House have established close relationships with local colleges and universities. We aim to give students the opportunity of a placement to experience what it is like to work an Early Years setting and an insight into the potential career opportunities available to them. As part of our Student Welcome Programmed we offer a pre-placement interview, a full induction to the workplace which forms part of their Student Placement and Work Experience Folder.
Our aim is to provide high quality work experience without compromising the quality of care and education we provide. For this reason, work experience opportunities are normally reserved to those studying a recognised level 3 qualification or higher. So if you are a student studying and NVQ, CACHE Award, BTEC Diploma, EYP or a BA in Early Childhood Studies and looking for a placement or have an enquiry please contact your local nursery manager who will be more than happy to discuss your needs and availability of placements further.

Many of our students maintain their relationship with Seymour House by choosing to join our relief team. Our relief work offers students an ideal opportunity to build upon their experience whilst being paid for their work whether it be during term time whilst they are not required to attend college and/or during college holidays. We place great value in our relief team through offering regular work we gain their experience and continuity of care for the children which our team parents value. If you are a student and interested in joining our relief team please download an application pack which can be found under How to join our winning team page.
