Early Years Pupil Premium

From April 2015 three and four year old children who receive the free entitlement could be eligible for the Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP). The EYPP gives providers additional funding which is used to improve outcomes for children by supporting their learning and development. We are able to claim the EYPP if a family is in receipt of one or more of the below benefits;

  • Income support
  • Job seekers’ allowance (income based)
  • Employment and support allowance (income related)
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of the state pension credit
  • Child tax credit based on an annual gross income of no more than £16,190
  • Working tax credit run-on.

The EYPP also applies for children if they are looked after by the local authority, been adopted from local authority care, or they have left care through a special guardianship order or residence order.
