Who are the HoEYP's
An HoEYP is a Head of Early Years Practice
Seymour House have developed a dual
leadership structure to provide the breadth
of skills, knowledge and experience now required to
lead the practice and manage an outstanding early
years setting. The Nursery Manager manages
the nursery whilst the HoEYP leads the educational
practice. This allows for a greater level of
specialism in each role and is more robust when
combined.
HoEYP's are all qualified teachers or have the Early Years Professional status, which is the Early Years equivalent of the QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). To qualify for the role all HoEYP's must be extremely passionate about young children's care and education. The group meets monthly to share experiences and to put strategies in place to keep Seymour House at the cutting edge of early years education.
