The isolation period for those with suspected COVID-19 symptoms recently changed from a 7 days to 10 days. In light of this change we have updated our Safe Operating Procedures.
We have also updated our FAQ's to include guidance on isolation and local lockdowns. This includes information on the plans in place for home learning and fees chargable.

We are delighted to confirm that the nursery can reopen from Wednesday 1st July.
It is entirely understandable that there may be some apprehension about returning to nursery. The scientific evidence is that COVID-19 appears to affect young children less often and with less severity. There is also growing evidence that children do not play a significant role in transmission to adults. Most of our nurseries operated throughout the restrictions and all 9 of our other nursery schools welcomed the majority of children back from 1st June. I am pleased to confirm that we have not experienced a single case of transmission throughout this time.
This is not to say that we can be complacent. Coronavirus is likely to be with us for some time, probably even years. To enable children to return, we have implemented the Government’s guidance through our Safe Operating Procedures (SOP), to ensure our nursery is COVID secure. We have sourced additional cleaning and hygiene resources and will be making some adaptions to the building. We will continue to review and revise these measures to ensure the nursery is a controlled and safe space for the children and our team.
We would be very grateful if you could visit and review the SOP and complete the Welcome Back Survey, even if you had done this previously. This will give you the opportunity to update your key person on any changes to your child’s routine or needs and help us to plan for your return. Whilst we need to make some adaptions to the way we work, we will focus on settling children back into their nursery routine, providing the same warm, caring and educationally rich environment. We will be grouping children and team to reduce the risk of transmission, but we will not be socially distancing with children. We will provide all the warmth and personal care that your child needs as they return.
You will notice that the process for accessing the site and drop off and collection arrangements have had to adapt. Please do be patient when dropping your children at nursery, particularly at busy times. In the next few days, we will be sharing a short video for you to view at home together to support your child emotionally for their return to nursery.
We were pleased to be able to not charge fees for the past three months, but we must now restart fees to pay our team. If you plan to return to the nursery in July, normal fees will apply. If you wish to return later, we can reduce fees by 50% to retain your place. Alternatively, if you no longer need your nursery place, you are welcome to release it to another family without notice.
We really look forward to welcoming the children back. We have been working hard preparing educational programmes for all age groups to enjoy and particularly helping our oldest children prepare for the transition to school.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
